Describe yourself in three words
Positive, honest, ambitious.

When you were at school, what did you want to be and why?
[sociallocker]I was always practical and enjoyed designing and making things. I knew I wanted a hands-on career where I would be in control of my own destiny.

How did you get to be where you are today?
I had a good, solid business grounding through university and later with an MBA, and from then on, through hard work, learning from experience and having a forward-looking attitude.

Which aspects of your job do you most enjoy and why?
I enjoy the variety of having my own business, which means that I am always challenged and no two days are ever the same.

What is your proudest achievement?
Personally, my two sons, and professionally, continuing to see my business grow year-on-year over the last 15 years.

What is the best advice you’ve been given in life or work?
Trust and act on your own instincts and don’t be swayed by others.

Something else that really sticks in my mind is:
“Those that say, know nothing. Those that know, say nothing.”

What is your next goal in life?
Continuing to grow our successful business with the exciting launch of our new micro pave CZ collection in 2013. [/sociallocker]
