Royds law firm co-sponsors jewellery awards, client scoops gong

City of London-based solicitors Royds LLP co-sponsored the recent British Jewellers’ Association (BJA) Awards, and saw one of their clients take home a gong.

The 5 December awards shone a light on the association’s members, highlighting companies and individuals that have excelled in their particular field over the last year.

Royds is a London-based legal team with specialist jewellery knowledge, as well as copyright, design law, trade marks and intellectual property generally. The firm’s client Andrew Geoghegan came away with the BJA Designer of the Year award.

Geoghegan, who works in the Yorkshire Dales, has been described as “one of the most inspired and remarkable” contemporary designers in the UK. His collections include fine quality bridal jewellery, cocktail rings, pendants and earrings – many featuring statement gemstones.

“We are very pleased that Andrew has been named the Designer of the Year. Andrew follows a long line of Royds’ clients to win such an award.”
