F Hinds family members cut ribbon on relocated Bracknell store
Two members of the family that owns F Hinds, Roy and Eric, have cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of the company’s brand new store in Charles Square, Bracknell.
In the spirit of history and re-enactment, they were both back in Bracknell to repeat the ceremony that officially opened the newly relocated F. Hinds’ store in Princess Square, back in 1972.
This time there were two more generations of the Hinds family there to help them. In the photograph, to their right Paul and Jeremy Hinds (7th generation) and Andrew and Neil (6th generation), plus store Manager Nick Dobinson and assistants Jazz Coke and Becky Walker, were all in attendance.
The new 1,600 square foot store is on the corner of the Princess Square centre entrance, and will also offer services such as on-the-spot Gold For Cash with competitive redemption rates; a bespoke jewellery design service; valuations, repairs, and watch strap and battery replacements.
Dobinson said: “As everyone in Bracknell knows, we have knowledgeable, well trained and helpful staff; we are now in this lovely newly fitted store, and shoppers will be delighted with the service they receive, whether selecting a beautiful diamond engagement ring, finding the perfect watch or having a battery replaced.”
The firm said it is “happy to have already found this excellent location” despite “changes and disruption” in the Bracknell area, and pointed to Dobinson’s position as chairman of the Bracknell Retailers Group as a reason to be confident in its outlook having moved to the area.
Rob Morris of the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, said: “We are delighted that F.Hinds is continuing its long tradition in Bracknell and there has already been a lot of interest in the new bigger and brighter store from shoppers.
“F Hinds is recognised for its excellent customer service and relationship with Bracknell customers, and we are pleased that Nick and the team are now set to continue this into the future in their new Princess Square location.”
