Hot Diamonds enjoys 101% Christmas sales boost
Hot Diamonds has revealed a huge 101% increase in December 2014 sales compared with the same period the previous year.
The Emozioni manufacturer said Christmas sales to its network of independents were also up, by 70% year-on-year. The firm’s head of commerce, Adryan Cresswell, said: “We were quietly confident of a strong Christmas with our independent network as sell-in and sell-through in the lead up to the crucial Christmas period had been encouraging.
“The December year-on-year increase of 101% was particularly pleasing as it was driven by strong retailer sell-out, which is always the most vital ingredient for ongoing success.
In a statement, Hot Diamonds said the Emozioni brand in particular saw a “very encouraging increase” in sales compared with the previous year, posting a 316% uplift for the Christmas period.
Cresswell continued: “It is great to see Emozioni become one of the best-selling brands in the UK jewellery market within such a short period of time, particularly when its exponential growth has been driven organically over time by strong retailer sell-out. Many retailers came on board with Emozioni very quickly following its launch around 18 months ago and we are very happy the brand has proven to be such as success for them.”
Sanford Simpson, managing director, added: “It is still a challenging retail market although we are seeing signs of increasing consumer spend and confidence. Under these circumstances we are very satisfied with our Christmas results within the independents sector and would like to thank our retail partners most sincerely for their ongoing support.”
