Ivanka Trump’s jewellery brand is set to discontinue production of its fine jewellery line in favour of more affordable collections.
The fine jewellery line, which sells diamonds earrings for nearly $10,000 (£8,200) and link necklaces for close to $20,000 (£16,400), will be replaced by more affordable pieces of jewellery such as a part of $35 (£29) faux pearl earrings or necklaces for as little as $58 (£47).
Abigail Klem, president of the brand, told Racked in a statement: “As part of our company’s commitment to offering solution-oriented products at accessible price points, we have decided to discontinue the Ivanka Trump Fine Jewellery collection.
“We will be focusing our efforts on existing and new categories that are most relevant to our loyal customers, including fashion jewellery, which successfully launched last fall with price points that are aligned with the rest of our collection.”
Klem took over as head of the brand early this year after the US president’s daughter took a step back from her company.
