Pure London appoints head of jewellery to support growth
Martyniuk will be a ‘key driver’ in developing the jewellery sector of the Pure London show and he will focus on attracting new and ‘inspiring’ brands
Pure London, the UK’s trade fashion buying event, has announced the appointment of Andrew Martyniuk as Head of Jewellery to support the growth of its newly created Pure Jewel space.
Martyniuk has years of experience in the jewellery industry and he will be a “key driver” in developing the jewellery sector of the show. He will focus on attracting new and “inspiring” brands to Pure London while working alongside partners such as the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ).
Meanwhile, Martyniuk is the co-founder of The Jewellery Cut, a platform to support contemporary jewellery in the UK and help jewellery designers, educate buyers and make connections.
His “strong” relationships within this sector were built up during a six-year tenure as commercial director at ITP Promedia, and as a publisher of business-to-business magazines.
Returning to Olympia London in between 17-19 July 2022, Pure Jewel will showcase fine and precious jewellery, silver jewellery, and branded jewellery from across the world with a focus on contemporary, ethical, and sustainable designers, such as Cartergore and Georgia Wang.
The brands and designers returning to the show include: One Hundred Stars, Brodie Cashmere, Onjenu, Lily and Me, My Doris, Meraki Beach, Bl^nk, Jayley, Alpe, Sonatachic, Joko Edu, ArtLove, Vilagallo, Envy Jewellery, ShanShan, Tale The Label, Italian Closet, and Asiana.
Martyniuk said: “It is exciting to work with Hyve on Pure London and Pure Jewel to help push and promote jewellery brands and designers to a larger audience. Pure Jewel is a very exciting opportunity for jewellers as the show offers so much more than just jewellery.
“Its long-standing heritage and focus on fashion can really help open these jewellers up to a wider audience of retailers, influencers and press that they might not usually get to meet. Olympia is also a prime location and it will be exciting to see jewellery on show again at this famous location.”
Gloria Sandrucci, event director for Pure London, added: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the Pure London team, his knowledge and experience in the jewellery sector is second to none and he will be a great asset to the show.”
