Repossi unveils limited edition Pearl Variation ring

Repossi has unveiled Gaia Repossi’s new limited edition Pearl Variation ring during Paris Fashion Week.
Twice a year during Paris Fashion Week Repossi unveils a “creative” concept piece produced in a limited run.
The new edition, based on the Serti sur Vide Collection, reveals a new ring design that delves into the realm of pearls called Pearl Variation.
Gaia Repossi reimagines the pearl for the first time since the 1990s, following her father’s iconic designs, giving a new perspective to its timeless dimension.
A black gold bead paved with diamonds represents a “modern interpretation” of a pearl while two contrasting tones of metallic grey pearls are combined to reimagine traditional designs.
The design twists classic codes with a “bold” and “graphic” composition employing new systems that achieve a “perfect balance”.
Mounted on white gold, the three pearls have different characteristics: a dark grey Tahitian pearl next to a larger light grey Tahitian pearl that seem to “float” between the fingers, whilst the black gold bead – set with nearly 200 white diamonds of increasing size twists, “modernises” the composition.
The new ring is available in Repossi’s flagships and in Dover Street Market.
Repossi said: “The pearl, a symbol of grace and elegance is modernised and elevated in this design, reimagining the classics with its Serti sur Vide setting. With the Limited Edition No.5 ring, the House of Repossi has chosen to draw upon the timeless elements of jewellery cherished by Alberto Repossi, the second generation of the family jeweller.”
