Laings unveils new Ula collection
Meanwhile, the Ula pendant boasts a 2.5ct trillion cut tanzanite and 0.46ct of diamonds
Laings has launched its new Ula collection designed by jewellery designer Kristy Berry.
Berry has been a “pivotal” part of the Laings Bespoke team for over 15 years.
The new collection features the Ula two stone ring, the Ula pendant and the Ula cushion cut ring designed with rare stones such as unheated teal tanzanites, lagoon tourmalines.
The Ula two stone ring is inspired by the duality of nature and features a 1.48ct mint tourmaline, which represents green leaves, and a 1.51ct pink tourmaline, which represents a petal.
The ring is completed with 1.52ct round brilliant diamonds.
Meanwhile, the Ula pendant boasts a 2.5ct trillion cut tanzanite and 0.46ct of diamonds. The rare tanzanite is mined in the Merelani Hills of Northern Tanzania.
Berry designed the pendant inspired by the leaves and tendrils of the world’s most “magnificent botanical wonders”.
Lastly, the Ula cushion ring features a 3.02ct lagoon tourmaline and 0.69ct of diamonds. The tourmaline variety is commonly found in Afghanistan, Brazil and Mozambique.
Berry said: “I always take inspiration from my surroundings, the artistry of those around me can always bring about new ideas for designs. These exact pieces came together when I first set my eyes on the unique lagoon tourmaline, the design really grew from there. Their beauty was mesmerising and really captured the spirit of the ocean.”
