Dior unveils second chapter of Diorama and Diorigami collection

Dior has unveiled the second chapter of the Diorama and Diorigami collection, curated by Victoire de Castellane.
The new chapter features flora and fauna in “vibrant” tones. It also includes animals such as a doe hiding behind a grove or a swan gliding on a pond.
Inspired by Parisian couture, some of these tableaux also celebrate the virtuoso technique of pleating, the meticulous work on fabric sublimating the skirt of the emblematic Bar suit.
In Le Petit Dictionnaire de la Mode, Chritian Dior defines this unique process as “a high point of fashion.”
Illustrating this artisanship, precious necklaces, rings and earrings are adorned with “delicate” flowers resembling “subtle” origami.
As if folded with “painstaking care”, they compose vegetation with “irresistibly” geometric lines.
Christian Dior said: “Jewellery is only as good as its colour. At the heart of this chapter, the figurative art of Dior jewellery unfolds in vivid detail, sketched by stones in sparkling shades. An aesthetic in the name of excellence, embodied more than ever by a nature-couture narrative, divinely multi-hued, weaving a shimmering weft with striking plays of light.”
