Houlden appoints Lizzie McAuley as new director

McAuley previously worked as a purchasing agent for designer and supermarket brands such as Hugo Boss and Tesco

Jewellery buying consortium Houlden has appointed Lizzie McAuley as a director on its board of executives.

She was chosen for the role after attending several director’s meetings as part of a guest member programme, and the group said she will play “a vital role” in delivering the key strategies in place to shape and steer the business.

McAuley is currently the director of Bedford-based jewellers Baker Brothers Diamonds, a family-run jewellery store founded in 1839. She took over the company with her sister Rebecca after her father died.
