Tell us about the story behind Kiki McDonough?
I am a British fine jewellery designer famous for my striking colour combinations and use of semi-precious gemstones, set in 18ct gold, to create timeless and wearable designs. My enduring success in the jewellery business over the last 30 years is a testament to my creativity, eye for design and attention to detail. Each piece showcases my passion for vibrant colour, elegance and workmanship, and is designed with every woman in mind. The brand offers accessible and relaxed luxury, making me now one of the most desirable British brands in the luxury sector.

How would you describe your jewellery?

I design jewellery for my own lifestyle; a busy working mother who wants to be able to wear jewellery that can take me from home, to meetings in the office to evenings out. The jewellery is pretty, colourful, easy to wear, and makes women feel great whilst wearing it.

The Duchess of Cambridge wears our jewellery beautifully, and people love seeing her wearing a British brand.

What makes you stand out from your competitors?Kiki jewellery is unique and consistent in style. People enjoy wearing pieces that have the Kiki ‘look’.

How has trading been over the last 12 months or so?
Our exports have shot up due to the fall in the pound. It’s easy jewellery to buy oneself as well as receiving on special occasions.

How has your brand evolved over time?
The brand has evolved, but Kiki’s tried to keep the same theme of beautiful, feminine jewellery that’s very wearable.

What’s next for Kiki Jewellery?
We will be opening more outlets in the US, our second biggest market, which we are very excited about.
