NAJ postpones 2020 summit

The NAJ has announced that it will be postponing its 2020 Seminar amid the current coronavirus situation.

It is now scheduled to take place in June 2021.

The Summit was due to take place between the 20 June and 22 June at the De Vere Staverton Park Estate in Northamptonshire, and will now be held in the summer of 2021 instead.

Events that are incorporated into the Summit, include the Valuers Conference hosted by the IRV, the Retail Jewellers’ Congress hosted by the JBN and seminars on Better Business, Created in the UK and SecurityWise.

The NAJ now plans to host a series of webinars to help its members “develop knowledge and understanding” in key areas of the industry.

It said that it will continue to update members and supporters on the latest coronavirus updates, and highlight what support is available for the industry through its news page and mailing lists.

Simon Forrester, NAJ chief executive, said: “We’re disappointed to have to postpone the Summit and all the events taking place within it, however, in the current circumstances this is the right decision for all.

“We will now liaise with speakers as well as other contributors in the industry to build a webinar series that members can tap into during the current situation. More details on that in due course.”
