JCK Virtual 2020 to launch in August

JCK has announced it will be holding a virtual trade show between 10 August and 14 August, which will aim to recreate the experience of JCK Las Vegas in a virtual format. The event has been built around the theme of ‘Reconnecting’, and will feature online showrooms from exhibitors, ways for retailers to search for products, tools that allow exhibitors and retailers to schedule appointments and talk over live video, educational events, and networking and social events. Sarin Bachmann, group vice president, JCK and Luxury said: “We wanted to be as true to JCK as we could. We know that the industry is ready to get back to reconnecting and getting merchandise in their stores. “A lot of people missed that they wouldn’t be able to attend JCK this year. We wanted to keep everybody’s health and safety in mind but still be able to bring everybody back together not only to network and be educated but also to actually do business.” The first day of the event will be devoted to luxury, an invitation-only show from JCK. Following this, two shows will take place simultaneously from 11 August to 14 August. A basic virtual showroom will be offered free to all JCK 2020 exhibitors who have committed to JCK Las Vegas for 2021. Upgraded showrooms will also be offered for a fee. In addition, participation in the virtual event will be made available to exhibitors who aren’t currently signed up with the show but are interested in participating. Attendance at the virtual show will be free to all qualified retailers, though registration is not open yet. In JCK’s latest update, it was also confirmed that JCK Las Vegas will return with a “traditional date pattern” in 2021. America’s biggest jewellery trade show will take place 4 June through to 7 June 2021 at the Venetian Resort and Sands Expo in Las Vegas. JCK Talks and The Exchange and Gemstones will start one day earlier, on 3 June 2021, while Luxury by JCK will take place on 2 June and 3 June next year. JCK’s sister show, JIS October, is scheduled to take place between 13 October and 16 October at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida and is open to all JCK attendees.
