TH March shortlisted for award
TH March, a leading insurer in the jewellery and watch industry, has been shortlisted in the 2020 UK Broker Awards.
The group has now been confirmed as a finalist under the ‘training’ category, which “recognises the investment they have made in nurturing and maintaining the technical and people skills of their staff”.
The winners of the award will be announced at a virtual ceremony in September.
Jo Morgan, associate director, HR said: “Being shortlisted for the UK Broker Awards Training Award is a testament to how training is embedded in our culture.
“TH March has been running an Apprenticeship Scheme since 2006 and has had 25 apprentices join the team over the course of the 14 years. We are very pleased that all but 2 of these recruits are still flourishing at TH March, some of whom have gone on to leadership roles.”
She added: “In addition to the Apprenticeship Scheme, customer-facing new joiners complete the Cert CII qualification within a 12-month period. This is fully sponsored by TH March with study text, revision days and exams all financially supported.
“We believe that each employee contributes directly to our growth and success. We could not accomplish what we do every day without our employees and this is the ethos behind the investment in our staff.”
Neil McFarlane, group CEO, said: “I have always firmly believed that having qualified, knowledgeable and proficient staff leads to better advice and service to clients. At the end of the day we are all here to provide a professional service to our clients.
“Qualifications are not the only component of this, but they are a good indicator of the ethos and culture of the company in providing outstanding advice, service and better customer outcomes”.
