F.Hinds to open Luton store
F.Hinds has announced the opening of its 115th store in Luton, which is set to open its doors on 22 August.
According to the family-run jewellers, the new site, located in The Mall shopping centre, is set to create seven new jobs through its opening.
The store will feature “sleek, modern” furnishings and offer the “same first class, unrivalled customer service that the company is widely known for”.
Diamonds, jewellery, branded watches and gifts will be on offer to customers, alongside a range of products for “every age, taste and occasion”.
The site will also provide a range of services, including gold for cash, jewellery and watch repairs, watch battery replacements, insurance, valuations and more.
The jewellers first opened a Hinds store in Luton in 1919, later relocating to the Arndale Centre in 1972, before closing in 1993.
The jewellers said it is “very much looking forward to welcoming Luton customers, new and old, into the F.Hinds family”.
In the run-up to its latest opening, F.Hinds has collaborated with The Mall to run a competition on the centre’s social media channels. The winner will receive a £200 F.Hinds gift card to use at the new location.
Andrew Hinds, diamond buyer and director at F.Hinds said: “We are delighted to be back in Luton after a gap of over 25 years. We first had a shop in Luton in 1919, just over a century ago, and we are delighted to be able to return to serve the town once again.
“As a family business established in 1856, we pride ourselves not only on our wide range of diamonds, gold & fashion jewellery, top watch brands and other gifts, but also on the individual service we give each of our customers, many of whom become like family friends over the years.”
He added: “As a national retailer, we have the buying power to offer great value for money, but as a qualified gemmologist, I am proud to be able to individually hand-select each of the certificated diamonds that we sell and to know that we have been able to help many generations of our customers to celebrate the most special occasions in their lives.”
