Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie to support RJC
In becoming a supporter of the RJC, the FHH alights its commitment to transparent business endeavours with the RJC’s mission to advance ethical practices throughout the jewellery supply chain from mine to retail.
The joining of the two cements an ethical relationship which FHH president and managing director Fabienne Lupo thinks is of “particular importance”.
“Backed by 27 partner-brands, FHH is recognised as a global think tank for the watchmaking profession, with a mission to inform, educate, train and lead the fight against counterfeiting. The FHH is dedicated to defending the abiding values which have carried beautiful timepieces through the centuries.
“Only adherence to ethical values and responsible behaviour will justify why we make these extraordinary timepieces and most importantly why they are bought by thousands of people around the world,” he added.
RJC CEO Michael Bae also expressed “delight” at the announcement, saying: “We look forward to working closely with FHH to achieve the crucial goal of consumer confidence.
“FHH joins institutions such as: ABN AMRO, Compagnie Financière Richemont SA, IDEX Online, Jewellery Focus Magazine, JCK Events, IJL, Brink’s Global Services, Polished Prices and L’Orafo Italiano as valued RJC supporters and more than 400 companies and trade associations in the council’s growing membership.”
