The Silversmiths and Jewellers Charity raises £30,000

The charity was established on 23 April 1827 as the Goldsmiths and Jewellers Annuity Institution with the help of The Goldsmiths’ Company

The Silversmiths and Jewellers Charity has revealed that it has raised £30,000 at its annual dinner.

The event was held at the Goldsmiths’ Hall kicked off by Annie Warburton, clerk and CEO of the Goldsmiths’ Company.

Antony Vanderpump, chairman, said: “I am thrilled to announce that the dinner raised approximately £30,000, thanks to the generous contributions of sponsors, supporters, and guests. These funds will play a crucial role in supporting individuals in the trade who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in challenging circumstances.”

The next event on the charity’s calendar is the Annual Golf Day, scheduled for Friday 27 September.

The event will be held at the prestigious Royal Blackheath Golf Club in South East London.

The charity was established on 23 April 1827 as the Goldsmiths and Jewellers Annuity Institution with the help of The Goldsmiths’ Company.

The Goldsmiths’ Company has always been the charity’s chief benefactor but it has remained independent from the charity.
