The British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ) has announced that applications are now open for courses due to start in September 2020.

BAJ offers a variety of exciting programmes providing world-class training in all aspects of jewellery design and manufacturing.

The Jewellery Design and Manufacturing Diploma is a three-year course, accredited at SQA levels 4, 5 and 6, that permits learners to further hone their skills and develop their own unique style through in-depth training in advanced jewellery manufacturing and design techniques.

Whereas, students completing the full Jewellery Design and Manufacturing Diploma will leave the BAJ with an SQA Level 6 Diploma, as well as all the skills they need to start a career in the jewellery industry.

The BAJ also announced that it has recently launched its first foundation diploma, the BAJ Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, an innovative and challenging general art and design course which allows students to develop skills that will support them as they move into more specialist degree level education or professional practice.

In line with advice from the UK Government and Public Health England, BAJ is currently closed until further notice due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In light of Covid-19 pandemic, interviews with prospective students are being held via video conferencing, while applicants wishing to visit the BAJ are invited to participate in its newly launched virtual open days.
